DECISIONS AND ISSUES
- Nineteen numbered entries 20-145 to 20-163 include eleven substantive decisions or deferrals. Agenda, five minute approvals and adjournment are procedural. 20-152 proposes second reading but has no result; 20-153 postpones it. The proposal is numbered but is not counted as an adopted second reading or another substantive outcome.
- The planned hearing on General Plan amendment 892 was removed and postponed to June 9. 20-151 gave first reading to Traffic Safety By-law 894; discussion about hunting travel, qamutiik crossings and publicly accessed property preceded postponement. These are dated interpretations, not current legal advice.
- 20-154/155/156 gave second readings to amendments 888/889/890. 20-157 directed CERB cost-of-living and income-support advocacy letters, 6–1: Flaherty, Akumalik, Stevenson, Brewster, Sheppard and Awa for; Nattaq opposed.
- 20-158/159 appointed Tammy Ernst-Doiron secretary to the Board of Revision and Development Appeal Board, staff responsibilities rather than Council seats. 20-160 awarded Westvac a sewer jetter truck not exceeding $357,550 plus GST, FOB Port of Valleyfield; it does not establish delivery or final paid cost.
- 20-161 approved a three-storey 2,927 m² office permit; 20-162 approved a 5,296 m² mixed-use permit. Permits are not completed buildings. No elected-member resignation, appointment or oath is recorded.
