DECISIONS AND ISSUES
- Five entries 20-190 to 20-194 include three substantive decisions. Agenda and adjournment are procedural.
- 20-191 supported Canada Day tournament beer gardens July 1, 4 and 5, noon to 8 p.m., 7–1: Sheppard, Lucassie, Awa, Flaherty, Akumalik, Stevenson and Brewster for; Nattaq opposed. Council support is separate from a territorial licence or evidence the event occurred.
- 20-192 approved presented food-security allocations, $20,000 each to four programs or organizations. Nattaq was outside for this vote; no conflict was declared in the minutes.
- 20-193 awarded 5581 Nunavut construction services for sewer upgrades from AV253 to the wastewater treatment plant for $2,840,275 plus GST. Replacement with larger pipe and steel access vaults was proposed; award is not proof of completion.
- A $113,100 City Hall furniture purchase was reported under special purchasing circumstances without a numbered motion. July 28’s $120,083.48 furniture award is separately recorded; scope or pricing reconciliation remains open rather than counting both as independent final spending.
