DECISIONS AND ISSUES
- Four numbered entries 21-136 to 21-139 match the registry. 21-137 declared a COVID-19 local emergency effective midnight May 4 and designated the municipal emergency coordinator. This is separate from October’s water-quality emergency and 2022’s reservoir-shortage emergency.
- 21-138 awarded the Apex Supplementary Water Pumping tender to Tower Arctic at $447,000 excluding GST so work could begin immediately. Staff stressed using the early freshet to refill Lake Geraldine and expected pumping to continue until 2026. This is a contract award, not the final annual cost or an invoice.
- Three reported bids were $447,000, $591,000 and $596,500 excluding GST. Staff treated an adequate water supply as related emergency business. The meeting opened at 12:10 and adjourned at 12:26 p.m.
