DECISIONS AND ISSUES
- Eleven numbered entries 21-237 to 21-247 match the registry, with six substantive items. Motion 21-237 names Stevenson, Akumalik, Flaherty and Awa for, and Bell opposed, yet both minutes and registry label it Defeated. The recorded result is preserved; the applicable rule or correction remains unresolved. Agenda as presented then carried under 21-238.
- Council appointed Flaherty its representative on the QIA Community Lands and Resources Committee under 21-241. This is an existing councillor’s representative role, not a Council seat appointment.
- Wellness funding under 21-242 approved individual amounts of $15,000, $10,000, $14,225, $15,000 and $5,435 for five programs. Motion 21-243 approved a CanNor revitalization funding application, not receipt or completed projects.
- Council accepted the 2020 audited statements and management letter under 21-244 and 21-245, following the August 3 Finance recommendations.
- The linguistic research application under 21-246 carried 3–2. Stevenson, Flaherty and Awa are named for; Bell and Akumalik opposed. These are individually recorded positions. The meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
