DECISIONS AND ISSUES
- Three motions EPW 22-01 to EPW 22-03 match the registry. Agenda and adjournment are procedural. EPW 22-02 recommended seeking funding for a larger reuse centre, a construction and demolition material cell and composting for household waste and wastewater sludge.
- EPW 22-02 carried 4–1: Bell, Flaherty, Nattaq and Sheppard for; Akumalik opposed. Stevenson chaired. The minutes distinguish additional funding direction from approval of the entire solid-waste project. Council separately adopted the funding direction March 8 in 22-69, unanimously.
- The housing presentation reported $10.7 million secured for an 18-unit project, with six two-bedroom and twelve one-bedroom units, and Nunavut Housing Corporation as eventual owner and operator. It said an interim sewage tank was needed because downstream sanitary sewers were at capacity, with that cost included. No separate housing motion was adopted here. The later April 12 permit is a distinct decision and neither record confirms completed units.
