Recorded absent

No absence shown in the quarterly grid.

  1. SPED 22-07 through SPED 22-12 reconcile with the registry. Agenda and adjournment were procedural. Four committee recommendations on Black History Society calls to action, communications, economic-development projects and a circular-economy idea were substantive, but none was a final council decision at this meeting.
  2. SPED 22-08 recommended steps addressing the Nunavut Black History Society's calls to action. It carried 6–1: Awa, Curley, Sheppard, Smith, Stevenson and Tilley for; Nattaq opposed. Quassa chaired. Council later adopted the direction on December 13 under 22-458; that is a distinct unanimous council motion.
  3. SPED 22-09 recommended a Communications Policy with a later review of the definition of media relations. SPED 22-10 recommended accepting 2023 economic-development projects and obtaining a written report. SPED 22-11 recommended further pursuit of a circular-economy idea, particularly a ReStore. Council separately considered them December 13 as 22-459 through 22-461.
  4. The minutes discuss consultation, funding and proposed actions. The recommendations and subsequent council directions do not themselves confirm a completed campaign, an opened ReStore or delivery of a project report.
